During the glorious three months of weather circa 2000 tonnes was supplied and erected. Earlier in the year the whole production process went through a time in motion study which has now enabled the streamlining of production and in turn making the whole process more efficient enabling a successful increase in output.

Spring 2018

After the cold months and what seemed to be a minor lull in the construction industry, 2018 is looking to be a very promising year. Cahill are currently working all over the South of England from SE Kent across to Cornwall in all of the major sectors. The workshop is currently producing in the region of 140 tonnes per week for the numerous projects currently on going and throughout March, April & May circa 1600 tonnes will be produced and delivered to site.

Cahill acquires PDF Erection Services Ltd

From December 2017 our newly formed Cahill Erection Services Limited takes over National steel erection company PDF Erection Services.

Improved market conditions along with increased turnover has lead us to make the strategic decision to bring back in-house Steel Erection operations for major projects. This will enable us to better service our client’s requirements.

CESL day to day will be controlled & overseen by Operations Manager Paul Chalke who is a qualified steel fabricator by trade and has spent the last 15 years contract managing for PDF.

Initially we will be operating with 5 erection crews for major works supplemented by a further 3 number 2 man crews to undertake smaller works, variations, snagging and on-site welding activities. The recent takeover will also allow us to undertake in-house site engineering.

CESL will be carrying out the erection of structures directly for Cahill whilst continuing to support the long established existing client base PDF had built operating nationally.

The business has already secured a steady pipeline of work taking us through to the end of March 2018.

Reflection on 2015

Cahill have enjoyed yet another successful year through out 2015.

The company has maintained a strong consistent workload for the 12 month period and produced approximately 4500T of fabricated steel. This in turn has increased the turnover to 7 million pounds which exceeded company expectations and growth forecasts for 2015.

Due to a strong workload we have also further strengthened our fabrication, contracts and drawing office teams in line with our growth plan, also new machinery has been purchased to streamline the production process further.

Our client base has expanded resulting in new works delivering revenues of circa 1.5million with three of our new clients having already placed repeat orders for early 2016.

At this time we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients, associates and sub-contractors and wish them all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year
