Design

Offering complete Design & Build packages, we can provide the complete service from the conception through to the onsite erection of the project. We work closely with our clients to assist with both the technical and budgetary requirements. Our experience along with the latest design software enables us to provide the most cost efficent compliant schemes 

Detail

Cahill has an experienced team of draughtsmen who are capable of offering technical advice and an accurate detailing service throughout the project duration. All steelwork is detailed using the latest Tekla Structures software which allows the company to operate accurately and smoothly within tight project lead times.

The advantages of using Tekla Structures are:

Ability to produce prelim models and material lists for estimating and costing purposes

Produce instant 3D models that aid in the project planning and approval process 

Creation of 3D erection plans to accelerate the erection process.

HD bolt plans can be produced pre production enabling the ground workers to commence the column bases

Fabrication

At the main works is a 45,000 sq. ft fully equipped fabrication shop capable of producing circa 120 tonnes of fabricated steelwork a week.

Facilites for fabrication include:

  • Fully automated drill & sawlines  
  • Fittings plasma cutter  
  • Adjacecent 12,000 sq ft paintshop
  • All weather loading/unloading bays
  • 500 tonne stock yard 

All procedures carried out by Cahill are in line with the latest BCSA specifications with all welder/fabricators coded to BS EN 287.  and work inline with all BS EN 1090:2015 protocols.

Erection

Cahill's policy is to install all steelwork projects safely in the most practiable way. We provide full method statements and risk assessments after which they are scrutinised by the installation teams and contracts teams prior to work commencing.

Site Installation of steelwork is carried out by a team of directly employed staff members including Site Engineers and Crane Operators. Cahill is also supplemented by long-term partnerships with sub-contractors that are trusted to complete their works to the high standards expected. All site operatives are CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS & IPAF certified. 

In addition to this, Cahill has an excellent track record in Health & Safety which has been a result of the professional yet practical approach to all projects.
